2. The SwimX App

2.1 Data We Don't Collect

SwimX is designed with privacy in mind:

• No account required — You can use all features without signing up
• No personal data collection — We don't collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers through the app
• No swim data uploaded — Your times, calculations, and worksheets stay on your device
• Works offline — The app functions without an internet connection

2.2 Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. This helps us improve SwimX. Firebase Analytics may collect:

• Anonymous usage statistics (which features are used, how often)
• Device type and iOS version
• App version
• Crash reports and performance data
• Country/region (approximate, based on IP)

This data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this data. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).

2.3 Data Stored on Your Device

SwimX stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your calculation history and worksheets
• App settings and preferences

This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device.

3. The Website (swimx.co)

3.1 Website Analytics

Our website may use basic analytics to understand traffic and improve content. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any data we process. Since SwimX operates primarily offline and stores data only on your device, your calculation data is protected by your device's own security measures.

9. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Firebase's default retention periods (typically 14 months for user-level data, longer for aggregated data). Email correspondence is retained as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry plus any applicable legal retention periods.

10. International Data Transfers

Firebase Analytics data may be processed in the United States. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App or Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
